Actually, we showed how to do it more than two years ago. This time, we are going to compress a video stream not with On2 VP6 or Sorenson Spark but with H.264. Doing so requires that you use Adobe Media Encoder. We intend to produce at least three video tutorials in this series.

The goal of this video tutorial series is to convert a QuickTime movie that we created a week ago into the following Flash video.

Click on the button to watch the original QuickTime video.
Click on the button to watch the converted Flash video.

In the first video tutorial of the series, we will explain what you need to install in order to convert videos into Flash movies with H.264. We will also find out whether or not we can use QuickTime Pro to do the job.

QuickTime Pro version: 7.6 for Mac

Video length: 4 minutes 51 seconds

Video format: QuickTime

Video compression: H.264

Resolution: 900 x 675 pixels (480 x 360 pixels for guests)

Audio: Enabled

Audio commentary: Enabled

· Please read Terms of Use for Guests before watching any of the video tutorials.
· Click here for video membership information.

Flash Professional CS4 and Media Encoder CS4 are products of Adobe Systems Incorporated.
QuickTime Pro is a product of Apple, Inc.

Related articles:

Flash Video Encoding (FLV and SWF, Mac Only)

Adobe Flash CS4: Converting QuickTime Movie into Flash H.264: Part 1 – Introduction In this short video tutorial series, we will use Adobe Media Encoder CS4 and Adobe Flash (Professional) CS4 to convert a QuickTime movie into a Flash … Continue reading →

[6
333,334,103
post-1315","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-vtc","tag-adobe-flash-cs4","tag-h264","tag-quicktime
["GET
