\nMajor League Baseball 2K9<\/strong> is a new PC game that was published by 2K Games<\/strong> in March 3. The game was developed by 2K Sports<\/strong> (Visual Concepts<\/strong>). In the past, 2K Sports has developed such sports games as MLB Front Office Manager<\/strong> (2009), MLB Superstars<\/strong> (2008), MLB Stickball<\/strong> (2008), NBA 2K9<\/strong> (2008), NHL 2K9<\/strong> (2008).

\nThe following QuickTime video shows a game play of Major League Baseball 2K9. The game lets you choose any of 30 Major League teams. And I chose Seattle Mariners<\/strong> as my team against New York Yankees<\/strong>.

\nThis is an interesting game with a terrible port. The learning curve is quite high. It took me a while to figure out just how to swing a baseball bat. The game itself is okay, but the thing is that it’s a game ported from the Xbox 360<\/strong> version. You often see such key control labels as B5, B7, LT, RT, RB. User’s manual doesn’t quite help you use these keys. Offense is not terribly difficult, but defense is difficult. After going through four innings, my team was totally beaten up by the Yankees.
