It&#8217;s like a man wearing a mask and only showing his eyes.  So when you mask an image, some parts will be revealed and other parts won&#8217;t be.  And the background may become transparent.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Which tool should one use to reveal part of the image, Eraser or Brush?  What will happen to a masked image when you switch foreground and background colors? It&#8217;s a very confusing subject.
