Each picture may contain tens of thousands of different color pixels. And SwatchAble will only keep unique ones. Choose Pixel Scan > Open Image to select a picture file. In a separte window, choose Scan > Start Scanning Image to let SwatchAble scan color pixels. If everything goes well, you will find your swatch collections under the Swatch menu (on the main window). Furthermore, just as with Color2Code, you will be able to generate actual swatch images for the color profiles listed in the Colors window.

Note that this application requires a database file, which can be downloaded if you choose Help > Download data file. Moreover, if your computer doesn’t have Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access installed, you may be required to download the database engine installer from Microsoft’s web site. You need to choose AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe as SwatchAble is a 64-bit application.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta.
