\nTOKYO (MacHouse) – There is no question that a lot of Mac users find Mac App Store<\/strong> useful in finding applications they need. Before Apple, Inc.<\/strong> opened Mac App Store, Mac users have to go to software developer’s web site to purchase an application, possibly using their PayPal<\/strong> account. Now, they can buy an application with just a click on a button. One problem they complain, though, is that Apple prohibits software developers from mentioning in the application description that there is a trial version available. These days, some software developers deliberately choose not to offer a trial version. Well, we do! And we use timeOver<\/strong> to convert a fully-functional application into a trial version. timeOver is a new software release that we submitted to Mac App Store about an hour ago.

\ntimeOver is a simple application that helps software developers convert their fully-functional Objective-C applications into trial versions. It’s used to convert an expiration date & time of their selection into the number of total seconds so that they can programmatically handle dates more effectively. The beauty of timeOver is that it lets the user create a text file showing when a trial version expires.

  1. Convert the selected date & time into the total number of seconds. Reverse-convert the total number of seconds back into the date and time of expiration.<\/li>\n
  2. Create a text file indicating when a trial version expires.<\/li>\n
  3. Generate Objective-C code in reference to the date and time of their selection.<\/li>\n
  4. Select one of 8 languages (U.S. English, U.K. English, Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Portuguese, Italian) for the date format.<\/li>\n
  5. Language: English only.<\/li>\n
  6. The application supports the Retina display.<\/li>\n
  7. Application file size: 1.7 MB<\/li>\n
  8. The application comes with a complete user’s guide written in English. (Choose Help > User’s Guide.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              3. Choosing ‘Generate Notes As RTF under File,’ the user can save notes as an RTF file. Creating an RTF file requires a font name and a text size, which the user can set in Preferences. If no font is selected, the application will utilize the default font (Helvetica). If the selected text size value (9 to 96 points) is invalid, the application will utilize the default text size (12 points).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
