This new release is called <strong>FontsView2<\/strong>. You can add your best candidates to the Favorite font list for quick access. Now, it appears as a popover window.  Click on the Show button at the bottom-left corner of the application window.<\/li>\n<li>Highlighting fonts: Select a font and click on the Hightlight toolbar button to mark it.  And the selected font name will appear in blue.<\/li>\n<li>Background display colors: Previously, the background pattern of the text display panel was checkerboard.  You can now pick one of seven solid colors as a background pattern on top of checkerboard.\n<li>Save text as PNG: You can save text with the selection of font as a PNG image.<\/li>\n<li>Printing text with all available fonts: Previously, you were able to export an HTML file showing styled text with all available fonts.  This feature is deprecated.  Instead, you can choose Print Text With All Fonts under File to print out text or save text with all available fonts as a PDF document.<\/li>\n<li>Show styled text in a separate window: Clicking on the Show in text button at the bottom-right corner, you can display styled text in a separate window.<\/li>\n<li>Compare fonts: It&#8217;s a feature that is available with the iPad version of FontsView.  Choose one or more fonts, and FontsView2 will list styled text with them in a separate window. The minimum is <strike>8<\/strike> <strike>6<\/strike> 1 points.<\/li>\n<li>The user can undo\/redo changes only on the main application window and not on the Preferences window or when they are prompted with an input box.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/br><br \/>\n<br \/><\/br><br \/>\n<u>Deprecation<\/u><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The application no longer allows the user to save styled text with different fonts as an HTML file.  Instead, they can save it as a PDF document.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/br><br \/>\n<br \/><\/br><br \/>\n<u>Version history<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Note: Release dates are ones when updates are announced here, not when updates are actually released at Mac App Store. Now, a splitview houses an input box in one box and other controls in the other box.<\/li>\n<li>The user can now apply bold and\/or italic to a string with a given font.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p>2.1.0 (Released on October 21, 2013)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Fix: The user was not manually allowed to enter a text size smaller than 60.<\/li>\n<li>When the user adds the selected font to favorite font list, a status message will appear at the bottom-left corner of the application window.<\/li>\n<li>Change: The Show button for adding the selected font to favorite font is replaced by a disclosure button.<\/li>\n<li>Change: The Position button for panning text is replaced by a disclosure button, which lets the user position text more easily.<\/li>\n<li>A few other minor changes are done.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p>2.0.7 (Released on September 7, 2013)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Fix: The user could choose Add Font To Favorite List under Favorite even when the Favorite font list popover was open.<\/li>\n<li>The user can now choose one of 11 font ID colors in Preferences.<\/li>\n<li>The user can now select one of several text colors under Color.<\/li>\n<li>The user can now select the default background pattern in Preferences.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/br><br \/>\n<br \/><\/br><br \/>\n2.0.3 (Released on August 31, 2013)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Change: The user can set a text size as low as 6 points.  Previously, the minimum size was set to 8 points.<\/li>\n<li>More fixed font sizes are available in the text size combobox field.<\/li>\n<li>Change: The font ID field was not editable.  Now, the user can manually enter a font ID to locate the corresponding font.<\/li>\n<li>A text field appears at the bottom-right corner of the compare-font window.
