\nIf you edit movies with your Mac frequently, you may have wondered once in your lifetime why iMovie or Final Cut Pro doesn’t let you import MPEG-2 files to the application? If you know the answer, then you should know the best way of using MPEG-2 files with iMovie or Final Cut Pro. <\/p>\n

In this video tutorial, we use Squared 5’s MPEG Streamclip and Major’s ffmpegX to make an MPEG file readable with iMovie and Final Cut Pro. An MPEG-2 file that we use in this video tutorial comes from Internet Archive<\/a>.
