It&#8217;s been one of the most downloaded program at download.com for the Mac platform.  It is developed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.limewire.com\/\">Lime Wire LLC<\/a>.  Lime Wire LLC also distributes an enhanced version of its P2P program, LimeWire Pro.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The current freeware version of LimeWire is 4.12.6 as of September 29, 2006.  It is a Universal Binary version.  There is also a Windows version.<\/p>\n<p>This VTC shows how to set up the freeware version of LimeWire for Macs.
