\nMy wife’s favorite fruit is melon. Last year, I had a friend ship a couple of very expensive melons all the way from Japan. One melon cost me some 50 bucks. When I opened a package, they were both half bad. These melons were for my beloved wife’s birthday. I didn’t have time to order new ones. So I did what I had to do, you know? I got on my iMac, launching Adobe Photoshop. In a matter of 4 minutes or so, I designed a melon for my wife.<\/p>\n

The following tutorial shows easy steps to design a melon, using Adobe Photoshop CS2.

<\/br><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Using Elliptical Marquee Tool<\/strong>, make a round selection.<\/li>\n
  2. Fill the selection with 50% Gray<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Copy that color for background. Then pick a near-yellow color for foreground.<\/li>\n
  4. Apply to the selection Texture<\/strong> > Stained Glass<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Adjust Cell Size<\/strong> and Border Thickness<\/strong> to create meshes. Minimize Light Intensity<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. Switch colors and bring 50% to the foreground.<\/li>\n
  7. Apply to the selection Sketch<\/strong> > Plaster<\/strong> to make meshes more striking.<\/li>\n
  8. Duplicate the layer.<\/li>\n
  9. For the bottom layer, add a layer style. Enable Bevel and Emboss<\/strong> and Texture<\/strong> to decorate the surface.<\/li>\n
  10. Finally, use Adjustments<\/strong> > Hue\/Saturation<\/strong> to colorize the surface.<\/li>\n
  11. As for the top layer, lower opacity.<\/li>\n
  12. Combine two layers into one.<\/li>\n
  13. Apply to the layer Distort<\/strong> > Ripple<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  14. The last step is to apply to the layer Distort<\/strong> > Sherize<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
