Creating Your Own Mac OS X Icons – Freeware Style (Mac Only)

img2icns

There are several Mac shareware titles that let you create your own Mac OS X icons. But you need not spend $10 or $15 just to create OS X icons. One shareware title even costs $79. $79!? No way! Well, that’s kind of outrageous for just making Mac icons, isn’t it? If you have a simple graphic-editing application, you can make your own OS X icons with this freeware title. You don’t have Adobe Photoshop? No problema nada. This is not a Photoshop plugin. It’s a simple standalone application.

In this video tutorial, we show how to use a free standalone application to make OS X icons. Note that this standalone application is in Universal Binary. So both PPC and IntelMac users can use it.

We are using Adobe Fireworks to edit a graphic file. But you can use any graphic-editing application, freeware, sharewhare or commercial one.
