This game play video is the 5th movie of the game play series for Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim. It’s a QuickTime movie showing an entire game play from a campaign called Pretenders to the Throne. The entire game play is longer than 120 minutes. So it’s split into three segments. And this movie shows the first part.

Pretenders to the Throne is the third to the last campain. It is one of the most enjoyable campaigns. It is also one of the toughest ones to defeat. I can tell you that I played this campaign many times, also quitting the game several times before the castle was entirely destroyed by clerics, elves, paladins and rogues. A game play can be very long and then tiring. And you will probably feel a sense of accomplishment when you finish it as I did.  

Briefly summarized, the story of this campaign goes as follows. While the king is absent, two groups have decided to seize the power. They are The Guild of the White Orchid and The Order of the Blazing Star. In this campaign, you have to destroy both of them. They will leave you alone almost completely for several days. Then both of them separately start attacking your people and your buildings. Interestingly, the Guild of the White Orchid (mostly consisting of elves and rogues) and the Order of the Blazing Star (mostly consisting of paladins and clerics) also fight each other. They are both weak at the beginning. But they will gradually gain experience. As the game proceeds, it will be more and more difficult to defend your kingdom because they have gained battle experience and carry HP potions. Paladins are especially difficult to kill if they carry several HP potions. So it is inevitable that you build a large army ASAP and attack one of the groups.
