There are many ways in which you can put a watermark image in video. If you know how to use iMovie or Final Cut Pro, you can just import an image with alpha transparency and lay it on the video track. Or if you don’t want to use a video editing application, there’s another way. You can use QuickTime Pro to lay a transparent image in a matter of a few minutes.

So we have this video clip in which Earth rotates. (Reference: Adobe Photoshop Very Basics for Graphics Dummies #8: Animation) In this video tutorial, we want to put a simple watermark word that says ‘SAMPLE’ in video. We first create a transparent image with Adobe Fireworks 8. And we then import it to the video clip with QuickTime Pro. You don’t have to use Fireworks. You can use Photoshop, Graphic Converter or any graphic editing application you are accustomed to using.
