What is WordPress? It is a free set of scripts developed by WordPress.org that lets you host a blog on your site. This is a great piece of freeware that we recommend every web site owner use it. In order to use WordPress, you need one MySQL database.
So why WordPress blogs? Firstly, WordPress is very easy to install. Secondly, publishing articles with WordPress is pretty simple. You don’t need HTML editors such as Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft FrontPage to write articles. All you need is just an Internet browser, and you can even upload graphic images without FTP. These two VTCs show how to install and set up WordPress to publish articles. The first VTC shows how to install WordPress without Fantastico. We also use a theme that we download. The second VTC briefly explains some of the features of WordPress. It also shows how to import images and compose articles.
