Thanks for the notification.
Several unprotected (and sadly unmonitored) discussion forums on a few of
our faculty’s websites were accumulating insane volumes of spam–something
in the order of 300 postings per day for about the last three months.
At any rate, we today rid the server of over 100,000 spambot generated
messages and shut down the worst-afflicted of the forums.
