Nowadays, cybercriminals send spam messages by e-mail to advertise online drug stores. One particular group of pharmacy spam messages has the following characteristics.

This particular pharmacy spam organization earns commissions by sending people to online drug stores. Nowadays, Canadian online drug stores are big financiers of cybercriminals.
What is .hk anyway? It is the country-code top level domain authorized by Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC). Its subsidiary Hong Kong Domain Name Registration Company Limited (HKDNR) is the domain registry. Their website is www.hkdnr.hk and offers ‘whois.’
In order to stop this pharmacy spam, one can take the following measures. No. 1, write to HKDNR. Their abuse hotline e-mail address is abuse@hkdnr.hk. We do write to HKDNR every time we receive a pharmacy spam message. If you are annoyed with the same kind of pharmacy spam, join the club.
Another measure you can take is to file a complaint at the online pharmacy site. Many of them say they won’t condone spam. However, unless they are true idiots, they should be aware that they are financing cybercriminals.

Regarding these .hk domains, you can also forward your complaint to
webmaster@antispam.gov.hk which is the government institution in charge.
Hmm… That’s something that we didn’t know. Thanks.
