The following message is going around in the Hostmail community. If you have received an e-mail message with the following title, watch out.
CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE WON!!!
It’s nothing but a spam message. And you won’t win a thing unless you enter a sweapstake in the first place. The body of the message goes like
“We write to officially notify you of this award and to advise you to contact
the processing office immediately upon receipt of this message for more
information concerning the verification processing and eventual payment of
the above prize to you. It is important to note that your award Information
was released today 13th April 2007, with the following particulars
attached to it.”
(I) Serial number: TK390/12/67
(ii) Ticket number: KG/1960/30/16
(iii) Draw lucky number: BD/ 21/54/78/85
And this message comes with the following e-mail address: euromillioninfo8@netscape.net
This cyber criminal organization identifies itself as Euro millions Lottery International, which is unlikely to exist. If you contact them by e-mail, they are likely to record your IP address along with your e-mail address after sending you more messages. If you have received the message, you should contact Netscape Help Central to destroy this cybercriminal organization.
