The following is a simple tutorial that shows how to create a computer startup animation using Apple Motion with help of Final Cut Pro.

1. First, create a simple graphic image looking like a cursor.
2. Next, locate ‘Typewriter’ inside Video Generators > Text
3. A screenshot below is an example of how to lay Typewriter and the cursor image.
4. Export the project with PNG and select Millions of Colors+ for depth. If you choose Animation, the frame rate may be automatically set to a different number than you have chosen due to the short duration.
5. Import a QuickTime movie to Apple Motion. Under Motion, create a generator with Stripes.
6. Select the QuickTime movie and place two filters. One is Colorize, which you can use to change white to green or whatever you like. The other filter is Glow.
