The following is a simple tutorial that shows how to create a computer startup animation using Apple Motion with help of Final Cut Pro.
- First, create a simple graphic image looking like a cursor.
- Next, locate ‘Typewriter’ inside Video Generators > Text
- A screenshot below is an example of how to lay Typewriter and the cursor image.
- Export the project with PNG and select Millions of Colors+ for depth. If you choose Animation, the frame rate may be automatically set to a different number than you have chosen due to the short duration.
- Import a QuickTime movie to Apple Motion. Under Motion, create a generator with Stripes.
- Select the QuickTime movie and place two filters. One is Colorize, which you can use to change white to green or whatever you like. The other filter is Glow.
