How to Lay Background Image in Disc Image (Mac Only)

This video tutorial shows how to lay a background image in the disc image (.dmg). You can do it easily with Roxio’s Toast Titanium or other applications. Our approach gives more flexibility as to the arrangement of icons and their sizes. In this tutorial, we use the following applications:





  • Disk Utility … a free application that comes with OS and allows you to make disc images
  • OnyX … a free utility program that makes hidden files visible/invisible






    • Prior to making a disc image, we used Adobe Fireworks to create a background image.
