Holland-based company OneStat.com has recently published its periodical analysis of Internet usage. According to the numbers shown at their site, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is still the most dominantly used Internet browser. It accounted for 83.05% of total web usage in July 2006. Mozilla.org’s Firefox takes the second place and has 12.93% share. And Apple’s Safari only has 1.84% of share, according to OneStat.com.
As you know, MacHouse is primarily serving the Mac community. So there is no surprise that our sites are visited mostly by Mac users. Nonetheless, we have quite a number of visits by those who use Windows OS. As you see the chart below, Mac users accounted for 77.1% of page hits in September while Windows users accounted for about 20%.
Furthermore, you can probably guess which Internet browser is most used by our visitors. It’s Apple’s Safari. The second place is not MS Internet Explorer, but Firefox. That’s kind of unexpected, isn’t it?
