When you want to deal with objects in the 3D space, Boris RED can be as powerful as Adobe After Effects. In fact, we always wanted to have a motion effects application like this one that would allow us to create a introduction scene of National Geographic without third-party plug-ins. So we used Boris RED this time to create introduction scenes, hoping to make them look like that of National Geographic.

Again, Boris RED is a very powerful motion effects application when you deal with objects in the 3D space. But, compared with Adobe After Effects and Apple’s Final Cut Pro, creating key frames is a little bit difficult and confusing.
And the toughest part of using Boris RED is exporting a project for us, so far. I spent the last several hours just to try to figure out how to export a project in QuickTime. But whatever I did, I got an error message. I wasted 6 to 7 hours just to export the same project file. On the other hand, if a project is very simple with the same export settings, I didn’t have trouble exporting it. The following is a list of our findings in exporting (non-simple) projects in Boris RED 4.1 (Mac).
Again, if a project is very simple, you can ignore the suggestions above.
