Occasionally, we hear from extortionists who threaten to misbehave without access to our video tutorials. We received a disturbing comment of this kind today from a person who identifies himself as eric Meek. It’s so disturbing that we’ve decided to share this comment with our visitors. (See Screenshot 01.)

1. Mr. Meek has asked why we have taken our video tutorials down for guests. Actually, the explanation is given under News at MacForums. And we have nothing more to add. Secondly, Mr. Meek has noted that we have refused to let him view samples of video tutorials. Wrong again… He could find a couple of samples here. We could make more samples available. But it’s just that nobody has asked. Anyway, next, Mr. Meek contends that we are greedy by not allowing him to watch sample video tutorials. Unfortunately, we don’t see a connection between being greedy and not allowing him to watch samples. Finally, he threatens to tell people about being unfairly treated. Well, he can do whatever he wants. But we have nothing to give to extortionists.

By the way, there were several dozen video tutorials available to anyone in November. However, most guests failed to follow rules. So we were inevitably forced to close the door. We created all these video tutorials on our own. Therefore, we are not obligated to give access to anything to Mr. Meek. Secondly, we never imagined that anyone would demand more than we have provided at YouTube. In addition, let me point out that all our video tutorials were open to anyone with no commercials anywhere on our websites a few years ago in the first place.

Will video tutorials be available to guest in the future? The decision is not really ours as most people don’t waste their time reading Terms of Use in the first place anyway. Will we produce more video tutorials? We haven’t really made any firm decisions. But we can say that it’s not fun running this website any more with little participation from guests and members.
