Apple Computer, Inc has introduced a new line of iMacs today ranging from an entry-level machine to a semi-professional one. The entry-level machine (MA710LL) has 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo inside with a 17-inch monitor and Intel GMA 950 graphics processor (64 MB of RAM shared with the main memory). Another 17-inch model (MA590LL) comes with 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 1 GB of pre-installed DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) memory + ATI Radeon X1600 (128 MB).
Apple also has two other new models. Both the 20-inch model (MA589LL) and the 24-inch model (MA456LL) come with 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. The maximal screen sizes that these machines can display are 1,680 x 1,050 pixels and 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, respectively. While MA590LL and MA589LL come with ATI Radeon X1600, a 24-inch model comes with NVIDIA eForce 7300 GT (128 MB). And the 24-inch model is special to the extent that Apple has installed one port of FireWire 800 on iMac for the first time.
