Vertical Moon, a software developer for both Windows and Mac products, has upgraded Video2SWF to 1.009. The previous Mac version was 1.008 and only for PowerPC-based Macs. The latest version is in Universal Binary, and a few bugs have been fixed. We are not certain if the PC version of Video2SWF is also updated.

Video2SWF allows the user to convert video files directly into SWFs. The advantage of this direct conversion is simply that you won’t need Adobe Flash. One disadvantage is that the SWF video posted on the website does not reference the source file (flv), so it can easily be downloaded.
