Mac Software Review: PulpMotion 1.1

PulpMotion
Mac software review

French software developer Aquafadas has recently released an updated version of PulpMotion. What is Pulp Motion? It’s a slideshow maker. There are several Mac applications with which you can create QuickTime-based slideshow movies with ease. One is… Yes, QuickTime Pro. Another one is Roxio Toast Titanium 8. PulpMotion is a little bit different from those applications to the extent that you can apply motion effects. So it may remind you of Apple’s iDVD themes. Or it’s sort of a motion version of Freeverse’s Comic Life Deluxe.

PulpMotion is surprisingly easy to use but then quite powerful. There are simply 4 steps.

  • Create a composition (project) or choose a theme.
  • Import a music file and photo files.
  • Change settings.
  • Export a project.

  • If you already have an open composition, choose a theme at first. PulpMotion contains 30+ themes at default. And you can download more themes if there are. Okay, you then import a music file and photos, change titles, choose motion effects, change the color of font of the title…

PulpMotion is easy and fun to use in creating motion slideshows. If you want to try it, you can download a trial version. The file size is 84.5 MB. And you know what? Quick Overview movie for PulpMotion is coming up soon!
