It’s been a while since Destineer announced the development of an expansion pack for a popular real-time strategy (RTS) game from Ensemble Studios and the Microsoft Game Studios. According to the Mac game distributor, Age of Empires III: The War Chiefs will be available in stores in June 25 in the United States for Mac gamers. The Mac version of the War Chiefs will be available in Universal Binaries.

The original Mac version of Age of Empires III was released in late November, nearly one year after the PC version was published. The Mac version of Age of Empires III has since been a popular multiplayer game played on GameRanger. Yet, it doesn’t look as popular as its predecessor. Age of Empires II is still the top multiplayer game played on GameRanger. Age of Empires II Gold Edition (Mac) was released in October, 2001.
