Apple, Inc. has released Mac OS 10.4.10 update. This update includes many OX fixes and security updates. One of the fixes, for example, is a fix “for a specific issue in which users importing video from a DV camera may experience dropped frames,” according to Apple.

Unfortunately, this OS update does not offer a direct fix for the QuickTime problem for which some movies cannot be viewed. On the other hand, it seems that the QuickTime problem is alleviated to some extent in that some of the movies longer than 12 minutes or so may now be viewed.
