TOKYO (MacHouse) – Apple, Inc. today introduced a new application suite for music professionals. Logic Studio has 6 components including Logic Pro, MainStage, Soundtrack Pro, Studio Instruments, Studio Effects and Studio Sound Library plus Utilities, which includes Impulse Response Utility, Apple Loops Utility, WaveBurner and Compressors.

The company says that users of Logic Pro 7 (if purchased on or after August 1, 2007) will get a free upgrade to Logic Studio with US$9.95 for shipping and handling. Otherwise, the upgrade price will be US$199.00 for Logic Pro or Logic Platinum/Gold 5 or 6 users. The price at the Apple Store for Logic Studio is US499.00.
