The following tutorial shows easy steps to design a folded paper corner, using Adobe Photoshop CS2. The photo image used in this tutorial comes from PD Photo.
- Create a new layer.
- Make a selection of one corner and save it.
- Go on and create a black-and-white displacement map. Copy the entire selection and paste it in a new file. Then save the file.
- Make two duplicates of the original layer and keep the original.
- In one duplicate, press the delete key after loading the saved selection.
- Switch to the other duplicate, put the selection in inverse, and press the delete key.
- Bring the corner tip to the center of the image. Then apply to it Distort > Displace.
- Bring the corner tip back to where it was. Use Free Transform to reshape it.
