Last time, we used ResKnife to create a customized SLAResources file. In this article, we use Little Disc+ (Version 3) to attach a software license agreement to a disc image.
To begin with, we have a folder titled My package. (See Screenshot 1.) This folder contains two files. And we want to convert it into a disc image with a software license agreement.

First, let’s launch Little Disc+. Then choose Add Software License Agreement to Disc Image under Action. (See Screenshot 2.) Make sure that the tab is set to ResourceFile on the front window. (See Screenshot 3.) Now, drag and drop the modified SLAResources file onto the drop box to the left of the window. (See Screenshot 4.) Then simply click on Convert. Little Disc+ will decombile SLAResources into a source file, creating a file named sla.r. (See Screenshot 5.) If you are done, close the front window.

Next, we want to convert the package folder into a disc image with Little Disc+. Browse and select the folder on the main application window. Then right-button-click and choose Convert It Into Disc Image. (See Screenshot 6.) Now, we want to create a Read/Write disc image out of the selected folder. And a preferable filesystem is HFS+ (extended). (See Screenshot 7.) A disc image name can be anything because you are going to produce another disc image out of this one. Finally, click on the Convert button at the bottom. (The button cannot be seen with Screenshot 7.) And Little Disc+ will immediately start creating a disc image. (See Screenshot 8.) If Little Disc+ finishes its job, close the front window.

Now that we have converted a package folder into a disc image, we want to attach a software license to it. Again, choose Add Software License Agreement to Disc Image under Action. (See Screenshot 9.) This time, set the tab to Attach SLA. (See Screenshot 10.) First of all, drag and drop the disc image you have just created onto the drop box to the left of the window. (See Screenshot 11.) Next, drag and drop the decompiled source file (sla.r) onto the small image well. (See Screenshot 12.) You have an option of creating a compressed or non-compressed disc image with a software license agreement. Finally, name a disc image. Be careful not to have the same disc image with the 1st one inside the same folder or disc volume or on the desktop. By this time, the button that says Step 1 should be clickable. So let’s click on it. (See Screenshot 13.) And Little Disc+ will start creating a new disc image, attaching a software license agreement to it. We not done yet. But let’s double-click on the 2nd disc image to see if a software license agreement is attached correctly. (See Screenshot 14.) If everything looks all right, then finally click on the button that says Step 2. (See Screenshot 15.) And Little Disc+ will flatten the second disc image into a single resource file. We are done. Screenshot 16 shows the file result.

You may think that creating a disc image with a software license agreement is not an easy job. But if you already have a decompiled license file (sla.r), you can simply skip the first part that is described in the previous article. So it will be just the matter of creating a disc image out of a folder and attaching a software license agreement. Assuming that you use the same software license agreement, it should be a simple task.
