Last time, we used ResKnife to create a customized SLAResources file. In this article, we use Little Disc+ (Version 3) to attach a software license agreement to a disc image.

To begin with, we have a folder titled My package. (See Screenshot 1.) This folder contains two files. And we want to convert it into a disc image with a software license agreement.

First, let’s launch Little Disc+. Then choose Add Software License Agreement to Disc Image under Action. (See Screenshot 2.) Make sure that the tab is set to ResourceFile on the front window. (See Screenshot 3.) Now, drag and drop the modified SLAResources file onto the drop box to the left of the window. (See Screenshot 4.) Then simply click on Convert. Little Disc+ will decombile SLAResources into a source file, creating a file named sla.r. (See Screenshot 5.) If you are done, close the front window.   Continue reading

Some software developers think, I suppose, that the software delivery form is important. They create a nice customized disc volume, laying a picture inside the disc image. You may have seen a disc image, which will open a software license agreement, when you double-click on the disc image. So how do you create a disc image with a software license agreement attached?

Little Disc+ is our No. 1 selling software title. And one of its features allows the user to attach a software license agreement, provided that you have your own SLAResources file. Right, Apple gives access to a default SLAResources file. But you don’t want to use it as it is. Rather, you really want to customize it to your needs. But how?
