Apple Releasing a New Line of MacBook Intel Core 2 Duo Models

TOKYO (MacHouse) – Apple, Inc. released the first line of Mac models with the latest OS release. The new line of MacBook models is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2.0 GHz or 2.2 GHz). The price starts at $1,099 in the U.S., according to the company.

  • Processor: 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • Front bus: 800MHz
  • Memory: 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300) with 2 slots, 1-GB RAM attached
  • Hard disk: 80GB, 120GB, or 160GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA
  • Display: 13.3-inch (diagonal) glossy widescreen TFT
  • Graphic memory: Intel GMA X3100 graphics processor with 144MB of DDR2 SDRAM
  • Connections: 1 FireWire 400 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports
  • OS: Mac 10.5 Leopard





  • And this model comes with a built-in iSight camera. The prices are quite affordable. It starts at $1,099. The price tag for 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with 1 GB memory, a 160 GB hard disk and a double-layer SuperDrive is set at $1,499. However, the new MacBook models may not be suitable for gaming as they come with integrated graphic memory (GMA).
