TOKYO (MacHouse) – MacSoft, a division of Destineer, has released an update for its popular real strategy game Age Empires III. According to the game company, Age of Empires III Update Version 1.0.3 will fix the out-of-sync issue under OS X 10.5 Leopard.

MacSoft, a division of Minnesota-based game developer Destineer, has released an update patch for the Mac version of Age of Mythology. Age of Mythology is a real-time strategy game originally developed by Ensemble Studios and was released in 2002. MacSoft ported the game to Mac OS in late 2003. According to the software developer, this patch will update the PPC version of the game to Universal.

Several games that Electronic Arts released for Mac OS in July includes Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars. Command & Conquer is a popular real-time strategy game series which is similar to Ensemble Studios/Microsoft’s Age of Empires series but involves more interesting features like terrorists and advanced weapons. A patch for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars has been released. According to Apple’s game website, this

“patch will enable online play so you can take your GDI, Nod, or Scrin units and wage war against all Mac and PC users.”

The game website dedicated to Mac OS says today that Texas-based video game distributor Aspyr Media is currently working to bring to Mac a sequel to the hit RPG game originally produced by BioWare and published by Atari.
