Mac-only online game application GameRanger is updated to 4.6.6. Some bugs have been fixed. And a few new featuers including “peer-to-peer networking” have been added.

If you are a fan of Star Wars, you have something to look forward to at the beginning of April. Aspyr Media is now porting another Star Wars game to Macs. The last Star Wars game was Star Wars Battlefront from Aspyr Media. The Mac version was released about a year and a half years ago. It has good music and captured some of Mac gamers’ hearts. A new Star Wars game from Aspyr Media is titled Star Wars: Empire at War. The PC version of Empire at War was released in February, 2006. So it’s a one-year-old game. The long wait is over. There are many die-hard fans of Heroes of Might & Magic. After the PC version was released in May 23 of last year, the Mac version is finally out. Freeverse ported the fifth installment of this popular turn-based adventure & strategy game to Macs (Intel-based Macs only) and finally started shipping the game a week ago.

Update patches for the Mac versions of Civilization IV and its expansion pack Warlords are available through macgamefiles.com. These patches both fix a sound problem plus tons of minor bugs.

Blizzard Entertainment has released an updated version of its popular massively multiplayer online role playing game, World of Warcraft. The game application will be upgraded to 2.0.7.
