TOKYO (MacHouse) – Remember Tropico? It’s a simulation game where you build a community and make money by attracting tourists and selling goods. Some gamers loved it, and others just hated it. The Mac version of Tropico was released by MacSoft in July, 2001. Then there were Tropico: Mucho Macho and Tropico 2: Pirate Cove. Well… By the time Tropico: Mucho Macho and Tropico 2: Pirate Cove were released, the thrill was gone, and some original Tropico fans moved on with their life.

For those Tropico fans, good news is that German game publisher Kalypso Media plans to release another Tropico game this September. The game is titled Tropico 3. The game is developed by Haeminont Games. We don’t know if MacSoft will pick up this game and port it to the Mac platform. Hopefully… Or Intel Mac users always have a choice of switching to the Windows partition through Boot Camp and play PC games including Tropico 3.
