Building a Website Using CSS 02: Introduction to CSS

Why do you want to build a website using CSS in the first place? That’s mainly because you can instantly make changes to a group of webpages by editing a single style sheet. And building a website using CSS is much easier than you think. Besides, you don’t need specific applications. You just need a text editor to edit CSS files and a web browser to view changes. That means you don’t need theme-based website-building applications like RapidWeaver. You can just start with nothing and end up with a nice website by just editing a style sheet.

Many PHP themes are built with CSS. If you want to create your own themes for phpBB, WordPress and RapidWeaver, you need to use CSS. Don’t be afraid. Again, building a website using CSS is easy as long as you know how to use a graphic editor and also how to edit HTML a little bit.

Furthermore, the main purpose of these three video tutorials is to get our website ready for dynamic contents. So we want to convert all HTML files into PHP ones. By so doing, we can embed Server Side Includes We don’t explain how to write Server Side Includes in the video tutorials. So if you are unsure how they work, you are advised to go through these articles at our SEO website beforehand.

In the meantime, these three video tutorials aren’t designed just to fulfill the needs for RapidWeaver users. Dreamweaver beginners, those who want to use Server Side Includes, those who want to learn how to create their own RapidWeaver themes may find these video tutorials useful to some extent.
