Adobe Labs: Adobe Flash Media Encoder Beta Released

Adobe Labs has released the beta version of Windows-only Adobe Flash Media Encoder. Unlike its Flash Video Encoder, Flash Media Encoder allows the user to capture video from a live source and then to encode it to Flash format, according to Adobe Labs. In this way, video can be published for real-time streaming. The current beta release is only available for Windows platform and can be downloaded and used for free after registration.

Our websites are visited by several hundred people every day with many thanks. Let’s see web statistics for the first 24 days of December, 2006.

As we are serving mostly Mac users, just like last time (July 2006), there is no surprise that a majority of visitors here use Mac OS. That explains that a majority of our visitors use Safari. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer takes the second place with 34.9%. (It was 14.1% in July) Internet Explorer is still very popular among both Mac and PC users. Actually, back in July, Internet Explorer was the third place. And Windows users only accounted for 20% of all visitors here. Apparently, our websites are visited by more PC users than before. Furthermore, Firefox fell to the third place with 20.3%. (It was 22.8% before.) Continue reading
