Ms. Daniels instructs Isaac to find the origin of the poisoned air. When he enters the Primary Food Storage room, he finds that this place is filled with body parts everywhere. And there is some of a giant plant, which Isaac needs to destroy.

Isaac was very scared and wanted to get out of the room. So I locked the door. There was no turning back for him. “Sorry, that’s your job, Isaac.” He did a good job killing the boss figure after all.

The USG Kellion is gone. So Hammond‘s plan is probably to use the Ishimura to leave the Aegis System ASAP. As soon as Isaac gets out of the tram, Hammond tells him that they face two major problems. The following game play movies for Dead Space, Electronic Arts‘ latest third-person/action game, concludes Chapter 2. The video quality is relatively bad and the file size is relatively small because we compressed a video with a resolution of 900 x 675 pixels at first by mistake. (11/21/08 The game play video has been recompressed.) Sorry… But we are not going to reproduce it with a correct resolution for now. In the meantime, we are likely to produce several more game play movies to cover Chapter 3 and 4.

Chapter 3 is not difficult to clear to the extent that Isaac only faces the same creatures. He will be caught by a surprise on the way back from the Centrifuge Area. It’s a bit confusing to the extent that he has to go to several areas including Refueling Control Stations, Decon Chamber, the Centrifuge Room and the Engine Room.

Chapter 4 is a lot difficult because of new creatures. And there is a scene where Isaac has to protect the spaceship by shooting down asteroids with an ADS cannon while Hammond works on a computer. I played this scene probably around 20 times. And I finally got used to it.  Continue reading →

For the past few days, we’ve been releasing game play movies for Dead Space, Electronic Arts‘ latest third-person/action game. Game play video Part III and IV together will entirely cover Chapter 2.

Over the last chapter, the only ride out of the USG Ishigima has been destroyed. Hammond said earlier that he wanted to find out how Captain Benjamin Mathius died. In order for Ms. Daniels to access such information, they need Isaac to recover Captain’s authorization codes. Captain’s body has been located at Medlab.

Starting with Chapter 2, when the tram arrives at Medical Deck, Isaac spots a blind-folded woman, who hands Kinesis Module over to him. He can now lift and move objects by pressing and holding down the F key. Entering Security Station, Hammond tells Isaac that they have been attacked and that Ms. Daniels is gone. Does he mean she is dead? Hopefully, not…

In this chapter, Isaac needs to locate Captain’s RIG codes and then to find senior medical officer Nicole Brennan. Checking ship’s map, Hammond says the door to the emergency wing is barricaded. Isaac now needs to obtain

1. a shock pad (detonator) from Zero-G Therapy
2. a white-red container with thermite in it from Medical Storage
