TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – The time passes quite fast once the summer is over, don’t you think? We only have two months left this year. Anyway, I’m ready to introduce a pair of applications to you. One of them is called Robo Desk Central.

Robo Desk Central is a desktop application that lets you use your iOS device as a front office receptionist. It works with its iOS counterpart called Robo Desk, which is designed to answer visitors at your office. The iOS counterpart asks a visitor what their name is, who they are visiting at your office with a list of employees to choose from, whether or not they have an appointment. Once it gets all answers from a visitor, the iOS counterpart will make a call to this application, telling that you have a visitor. And Robo Desk Central records every visit.   Continue reading →

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – When someone in your neighborhood goes missing, it is important to organize a search party as quickly as possible. And you must run a search party operation as efficiently as possible. You don’t want to send multiple groups to the same location.

Search Party Volunteer is a mobile app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that works side by side with its desktop application counterpart called Search Party Command Center. Use this app to join a search party so that search party organizer can run their operation efficiently. Mac application Search Party Command Center

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – The month of September 2018 was horrible. The sky was cloudy almost every day. It rained quite a lot. I hoped that it would be different in October. It started all right. Oh, whoa… I guess the cloudy sky has been carried over to this month.

Anyway, I have submitted a new desktop application to Mac App Store. This new software release is called Search Party Command Center.

Search Party Command Center is a desktop application that helps you run a search party operation efficiently. When someone goes missing in your neighborhood, it is important to find him or her as quickly as possible. It is also important to run a search party operation as efficiently as possible. You don’t want to send multiple groups to the same area. Search Party Command Center lets you draw walk paths over the map so that you can allocate them to search party volunteers. A volunteer with an iOS device running the iOS app counterpart can just walk according to their assignment. And they can submit a dataset containing GPS coordinates so that you know where they have searched.

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – September of 2018 was a horrible month. It was entirely cloudy almost every day. It rained a lot. We are now in October. So far, we’ve been having pleasant days. Anyway, if you want to use your iOS device as a direction navigator, try Driving Routes. Yup, that’s my next submission to Apple‘s App Store.

Driving Routes is a mobile app for iPhone and iPad that lets you use your iOS device as a GPS navigator on the road. When you select a destination on the road, the app will draw a route to it on the map. If you make the Sign instructions in-app purchase, the app will display a green sign at the bottom showing you the direction and remaining distance to the next section as you drive. Furthermore, if you make the Voice instructions in-app purchase, the app will give you a route direction near each section in voice (text-to-speech).   Continue reading →

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It rains quite a bit in September. We hardly see the sun this month. Anyway, I have one iOS app to introduce before this month ends. A new iOS app that I submitted to App Store a few minutes ago is called Ride Watch.

When you take a cab ride, you never know that the driver will take the shortest route. Who knows where a stranger will take you if you fall into sleep after a long night of parting? Ride Watch lets you monitor your ride, recording GPS positions. With an in-app purchase, Ride Watch will send you a local notification when your ride deviates from an expected route. The app will even let you simulate your ride in the past.   Continue reading →
