According to Mac Mojo, the official weblog by Mactopia and Microsoft’s Macintosh Business Unit (MacBU), a long waited new version of Microsoft Office compatible with Intel Mac models will be released in January, 2008. New version Microsoft 2008 was initially scheduled for release during the second half of this year. Microsoft Office is now one of the few major Mac software titles that aren’t made available in Universal Binaries.

Apple, Inc. has updated its media player to 7.3.2 with bug fixes and improvements over stability and performance. Mac users can update iTunes by choosing ‘Software Update’ under Apple icon on the menu bar.
Apple, Inc. has released another security patch separately for Intel Mac OS X 10.4.10, PowerPC OS X 10.4.10, Intel OS X Server 10.4.10, PowerPC OS X Server 10.4.10, OS X 10.3.9 and so forth. The components that will be fixed with this security patch include Core Audio, iChat, PHP, Quartz Composer and SquirrelMail (OS X Server).

Apple, Inc. has released an updated version of support software for its pro applications. According to Apple, Pro Application Support 4.0.1
“improves general user interface reliability for Apple’s professional applications and is recommended for all users of Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Aperture, Final Cut Express HD, Soundtrack, Logic Pro and Logic Express.”
This software update isn’t applicable only to the latest version of Pro applications but also to older versions.
