Mozilla has updated its popular web browser to 2.0.0.5. Just like the last update, which was released about 8 weeks ago, Firefox 2.0.0.5 offers several security vulnerability fixes.

Popular 3D rendering software Vue 6 Esprit from e-on software, inc has been updated to 6.10 with many improvements and bug fixes. An update is available for both Mac and Windows users.
In the meantime, e-on software is currently running a graphics competition. According to its website, one can win prizes worth as much as $2,000. The competition is open to all Vue users of any version, who are encouraged to submit a landscape image by July 31, 2007.

Apple, Inc. has released a firmware (ROM) update for MacBook Pro 15-inch and 17-inch models. According to the company, this firmware fixes problems with “Boot Camp, startup, and wake-from-sleep.”

Following an update at the beginning of May, Microsoft says it has updated the Mac version of its office suite Microsoft Office 2004 to 11.3.6 with some fixes on Excel and Entourage. Mactopia, Microsoft’s website for Mac applications, announces this update. Unfortunately, a link at the sidebar will take you nowhere. If you click on the link that says “Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.6 Update,” you will end up with an error page.
