What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Late2Office Central for macOS

Mac application Search Party Command Center

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It’s been a long time since I released any software title for the last time. I guess it’s been more than six months. Anyway, I have dual releases as usual. One is for macOS, and the other is its iOS counterpart. The first one that I submitted to Mac App Store a while ago is called Late2Office Central.

Many people commute daily. Anything can happen on your way to work. If somebody drops their mobile phone on the train track, your train can delay, and you may end up arriving at your office late. If your child wakes up with a fever in the morning, you may have to take him or her to a hospital. Again, you may end up arriving at your office late.

Late2Office Central offers a set of tools so that you can use your linux-based remote web server to receive notices from your employees who are running late on their way to work. It works with its iOS counterpart (Late2Office) side by side so that your employees can submit your late arrival notices to you from their mobile devices. Launch the application, and you will see the number of late office arrival notices for the current calendar day. Use this application to communicate with your remote server and its MySQL database so that you can create a list of employees who are allowed to submit a notice. Use this application to communicate with your remote server and find out why a particular employee is late and where he or she currently is.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Cut Extreme 2 for macOS

Mac application Cut Extreme 2

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – We still have 10 more days left this month. I guess I have time enough to release a new software title. In fact, I submitted a new desktop application to Mac App Store several minutes ago. This new software submission is called Cut Extreme 2.

If you want to make a rectangular cutout of a picture, you can do so with Preview. What if you want to make a cutout with a complex shape (like a heart, a tree, a star…) other than a rectangle?

Cut Extreme 2 is an upgrade version of an existing desktop application titled CutAround Extreme, which was first introduced in June, 2015. These applications let you make a cutout out of a picture with a shape made by a bezier curve. This application is now free. Shape collections are available as in-app purchases.

After selecting a picture to work with, select a shape with a drop-down menu so that you can make a cutout as to how you make one out of a picture. Then use the combo box right below to set a size of a cutout. Finally, click on the cut button (looking like scissors) to make a cutout. All cutouts are saved in the list to the right.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Super Patterns 2 for macOS

Mac application Super Patterns 2

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – I thought we were going to have a rainy day. I guess the Weather widget that comes with the System is not that reliable. And it has turned out to be a very beautiful November day, which is what we need before we enter a long, cold winter.

Anyway, I submitted a new desktop application to Mac App Store several minutes ago. There is no child app for iOS this time. It’s purely a desktop-only release. This new release is called Super Patterns 2.

Super Patterns 2 is a desktop application that lets you create a pattern with shapes, images, rich text strings. It is an updated version of a desktop application called MiPatterns. Create a pattern, which can be saved as an image file to your disk.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Robo Desk Central for macOS

Mac application Robo Desk Central

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – The time passes quite fast once the summer is over, don’t you think? We only have two months left this year. Anyway, I’m ready to introduce a pair of applications to you. One of them is called Robo Desk Central.

Robo Desk Central is a desktop application that lets you use your iOS device as a front office receptionist. It works with its iOS counterpart called Robo Desk, which is designed to answer visitors at your office. The iOS counterpart asks a visitor what their name is, who they are visiting at your office with a list of employees to choose from, whether or not they have an appointment. Once it gets all answers from a visitor, the iOS counterpart will make a call to this application, telling that you have a visitor. And Robo Desk Central records every visit.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Search Party Command Center for macOS

Mac application Search Party Command Center

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – The month of September 2018 was horrible. The sky was cloudy almost every day. It rained quite a lot. I hoped that it would be different in October. It started all right. Oh, whoa… I guess the cloudy sky has been carried over to this month.

Anyway, I have submitted a new desktop application to Mac App Store. This new software release is called Search Party Command Center.

Search Party Command Center is a desktop application that helps you run a search party operation efficiently. When someone goes missing in your neighborhood, it is important to find him or her as quickly as possible. It is also important to run a search party operation as efficiently as possible. You don’t want to send multiple groups to the same area. Search Party Command Center lets you draw walk paths over the map so that you can allocate them to search party volunteers. A volunteer with an iOS device running the iOS app counterpart can just walk according to their assignment. And they can submit a dataset containing GPS coordinates so that you know where they have searched.
