What’s Coming Up Next? Tomato Software Introducing LittleCal 4 for macOS

Mac application LittleCal 4

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It’s a rainy season in June in the Tokyo area. So it’s quite sticky. In a few weeks, we will have continuous hot days that will last till mid-September. Anyway, I just submitted a new desktop application called LittleCal 4 to Mac App Store several minutes ago.

If you have used LittleCal 3, I am sorry, but it’s dead. It was short-lived as it has turned out that its status menu was incompatible with macOS 15 (Sequoia). Unfortunately, there was no way of fixing it. LittleCal is one of several long-lasting series that I use as desktop applications. Its future was grim at first since I had to get rid of its status menu. In the end, LittleCal has become a fine weekly schedule planner.  Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? Tomato Software Introducing TextJungler 2 for macOS

Mac application TextJungler 2

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It’s getting hotter here in the Tokyo area while it rains quite a bit at the same time. Anyway, I just submitted a new desktop application called TextJungler 2 to Mac App Store several minutes ago.

When you write code to develop an iPhone app or a desktop application, you really need a plain text editor such that you can quickly edit lines of code. I used to use TextEdit to edit code. But that was a decade ago. TextJungler 2 is one of those plain text editors that let you change the text color, text size, font family, font typeface, background quickly with a drop-down menu.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? Tomato Software Introducing Remind Me Quick for Mac

Mac application Remind Me Quick

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – I feel like it’s been many months since the last, long winter was ongoing. My favorite summer is arriving to the Tokyo area soon. Anyway, I just submitted a new desktop application called Remind Me Quick to Mac App Store a while ago.

Pretty much every day, I use an electricity-powered sandwich maker to make a grilled sandwich with cheese in it. After forgetting to turn off the power a few times and nearly burning my sandwiches, I’ve decided to make a simple desktop application to remind myself of not forgetting to turn off the switch in 5 minutes. So I’ve spent two hours and then another some 36 hours enhancing it, and voila! It’s Remind Me Quick.

Remind Me Quick is very simple to use. Just select a wait time with a drop-down menu. And click on the Remind me button. And it will show you the remaining time. Then, what!? Just concentrate on other things. When the time finally comes, Remind Me Quick will remind you of an event with a flashing screen and a sound. See Settings under Remind Me Quick to control over how to remind you of an event with or without a flashing screen and a sound.   Continue reading
