A simple and crude way of stopping e-mail spam is to disable the e-mail address. You can also go after those who harbor and/or finance these affiliate spammers. In fact, many financiers are online pharmacy retailers and porn websites. |
The latest victim of affiliate spam is a subdomain of the website run by the University of Florida (www.ufl.com). An affiliate spammer has exploited discussion forums inside University’s subdomain (grove) and posted a porn image. More and more websites of American colleges and universities have fallen victims to affiliate spam these days. The latest websites that are exploited for affiliate spam include those of Department of Psychology and Child Development at California State University Stanislaus (http://psyc.csustan.edu/) and Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Memphis (http://www.ce.memphis.edu/)
