What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing 7evenTimes for iPad

iOS software iPad 7evenTimes

TOKYO (MacHouse) – It’s been a while since we released our last iOS application considering that we used to release at least five Windows applications a month. Well, it happens when you switch to a new software development platform. Anyway, our second iPad application is ready. It’s called 7evenTimes Portable.

7evenTimes? Hmm… It sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Yes, we have a Windows application called 7evenTimes. And 7evenTimes Portable (hereafter, 7evenTimes) is designed just for iPad users. Anyway, 7evenTimes is a real-time reminder that can be used to remind you of time-sensitive events. When you select a time event in the list, the top display window will count down the remaining time of the event arrival. A time event may be accompanied by a message (a sub title), which will scroll from right to left on the display window.

7evenTimes comes with a feature called Reminder. Reminder will go over all the events you have created every five seconds to see if any of them is about to expire. For example, you can set up Reminder in a way that it will remind you of events that are to expire in 2 days or less. If there is at least one such event, then a top button will blink. Clicking on it, you can find out exactly which events are going to expire.   Continue reading

TVal is a simple iOS application that will let you quickly find out all areas under an arbitrary time difference from home (default time zone), covering as many as 203 cities around the globe. For example, if you want to find areas that are 12 hours behind your system clock, set the first column of the picker control to minus as shown in Screenshot 1. And set the second number to 12, leaving the third column to 00. Finally, click on Find. You’ll see a list of cities for your search with the number of hits shown at the top-right corner. (See Screenshot 2.) Select any of the names in the list, and you can run the real-time clock for the selected city.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing WorldTimez for iPad

iOS software iPad WorldTimez

TOKYO (MacHouse) – Life was quite tough for us for the last 2 weeks. Some 14 months ago, we switched software development platforms from Mac OS X to Windows. We were forced to switch development platforms again since Microsoft treats desktop application developers as pieces of trash. Heck… Learning a totally new software language is never easy. La vida no es facil. My Spanish teacher was right after all. Anyway, we are now actively developing iOS applications.

Our very first iOS application is called WorldTimez. It’s developed exclusively for iPad. WorldTimez allows the user to run the real-time digital clock at 21 locations around the globe. It’s quite similar to the digital clock feature of our existing Windows software title called AllTimez. WorldTimez has one feature that makes it different from AllTimez. It lets you see the time difference between each location and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or home (default system time).   Continue reading
