mozilla.org has released the latest version of its Internet browser, Firefox. The latest version, 2.0 RC1 is available for Windows, Mac and Linux users. The Mac version is in Universal Binary and works for both PPC-based and Interl-based CPUs.
Apple today released an updated version of its raw image editor for photographers. According to Apple, new features include “flexible library management,” “automatically generated previews,” “drag-and-drop JPEG export” and so force. DivX, Inc., the developer of a popular video codec, announced on Friday its initial public offering of 9,100,000 shares of common stock at $16.00 per share. This public offering can generate $145.6 million for DivX. Today, DivX stock finished its trading at $18.50 per share.
Currently, DivX offers Mac users its codec, whose latest version is 6.25, for $19.99. This version is in Universal Binary. And DivX Converter, which allows users to access DivX codec without QuickTime, is also in Universal Binary. The current version is 1.1.1.
