In the late 1990s, many gamers were addicted to a great stragegy game called ‘Railroad Tycoon,’ which was developed by Take-Two Interactive Software. Now, the same concept is back in 3D screen with a totally new game called ‘Railroads.’ The PC version of Sid Meirer’s Railroad was published about 10 days ago. Adobe Introducing SoundBooth
Adobe System Incorporated has announced the beta release of its newly-launched sound-editing application, SoundBooth. According to Adobe Labs, Soundbooth is designed even for those who have little knowledge in audio but want to remove audio noise and add sound effects. There is no PPC-version release, and Windows users and Intel-Mac users can download and try it out.
Microsoft Distributing a New Version of Windows Defender
Microsoft Corporation has released a new versioin of its free application for spyware protection. According to Microsoft, this free program, Windows Defender, can be used under Windows Server 2003 SP1 or Windows XP SP2 to detect spyware and helps the user to eliminate it. The previously introduced beta version will expire in December 31.
Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro Introduced
Apple Computer, Inc has introduced a new line of MacBook Pro that is equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo. You can choose 2.16 and 2.33 GHz models. And the display can be 15.4″ or 17″.
Botnet Attacker Charged in Boston
Caroline McCarthy at CNET News.com reports that a Florida man has been charged in Boston for remotely hijacking computers to send a massive amount of data to Akamai Technologies. This network attack is known as DoS (denial of service).
