Once in a while, we have a visitor from the sky at the balcony of our house. And one day, I just happened to see a bizarre scene involving this bird. He was just sitting on a rail, and then ominous-looking clouds came out of the blue. And a lightening struck the bird! I just couldn’t believe it. Security Alert: DiskManagement Vulnerability

The Month of Apple Bugs (MOAB) is a group of security experts who have chosen January 2007 as the security month for Mac OS X applications. And MOAB has issued a new vulnerability report concerning DiskManagement. According to MOAB, an exploiter may be able to take advantage of a “vulnerability in the handling of BOM files,” which will enable him/her to “set rogue permissions on the filesystem” through Apple’s DiskUtility.

The Movies Demo for Mac OS X Released

Just before the last year ended, Feral Interactive released a Mac port of a simulation game, The Movies. And Feral Interactive has also released a demo version of the game, which is available at Macgamefiles. The file size is 800 MB.

The movies is not quite like The Sims’ Superstar but rather a tycoon game. At first, you start off as the head of a Hollywood movie studio. Your job is to hire/fire staff, build facilities and produce movies.

This is a one-year-old game. The PC version was released in November 8, 2005. The overall rate given by Gamespot (www.gamespot.com) is 8.2 out of 10.
