Apple Inc. has released an update patch for its web publish tool. According to the company, this patch will fixe the compatibility issue of iWeb 2.0 with iWeb 1.x. The updater is delivered in DMG image (10.7 MB).

Adobe Photoshop Creative Design #16: Designing Missouri Number Plate
The other day, my wife and I invited a couple living at the next door to a dinner. After the dinner, we had some wine. And they told us about their last trip to St. Louis, Missouri. So I said that I lived in Missouri for several years. Then my wife said “Oh, honey, I didn’t know you lived in Missouri before. How long?” I just went to college there in the late 80s. But my wife and the couple kept asking me questions like what’s the state capital of Missouri, and what is state’s nickname. Then my wife said “Honey, what does the Missouri number plate look like?” That’s when I snapped like a cow with the mad cow disease. And I said “All right, all right, you want to see my old Missouri tag? I’ll show it to you.” I slammed a door and then went to the garage to look for my old number plate. And I remembered that I threw it away a long time ago. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa… I had no choice. So I turned on my iMac and launched Adobe Photoshop CS2. In a matter of 15 minutes or so, I designed my old Missouri tag. After I showed it to them, they all looked like they were convinced that I lived in Missouri.
In this Photoshop CS 2 video tutorial, we design a dark red Missouri number plate. Some of the techniques used in this tutorial include Smooth, Bevel and Emboss, Contour, Rasterize and Group into New Smart Object. So there isn’t really anything special to show off. Continue reading
The other day, Apple, Inc introduced iWork ’08 along with a new version of iLife and new iMac models. iWork ’08 is an integrated software title from Apple with Pages ’08 (word processor), Keynote ’08 (presentation) and Numbers ’08 (spreadsheet). The introduction of iWork ’08 has finalized the termination of AppleWorks, which never made it to Universal. Continue reading
We had a visitor from Boston the other day. He said that his company owns the tallest building. He showed me a photo. I said “Whoa… That’s a beautiful building.” But then… He burst into tears. I asked him if a deadly fire killed his beloved wife in the building or something. He actually said that prospective tenants decide not to move in when they see that photo. So I said “You could use some glare.” That honest opinion of mine seemed to turn him on. So he asked me to fix the photo. Not a problem! I just launched Adobe Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2 on my iMac. In a matter of 5 minutes or so, I finished modifying the image. After I showed it to him, he seemed content and went back to Boston.

Mactopia, Microsoft’s Mac website, has released an update patch for Virtual PC 7. According to the site, the patch “fixes a vulnerability that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer’s memory with malicious code,” which is the exactly the same explanation given for Microsoft Office 2004 11.3.7 Update.
