What’s Coming Up Next? Tomato Software Introducing RollerText 3 for iOS

iOS Swift iPhone iPad RollerText 3

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – I thought the rainy season was over two weeks ago in the Tokyo area. But it seems not. I guess we are having another week of rainy days over this week. Anyway, I’m ready to introduce the third iOS app of this month to you. I guess I haven’t produced so many iOS apps for a long time. Anyway, this new release is called RollerText 3.

News reporters often have to improvise a speech at a disaster zone to give live updates. Some people have to make a live speech in front of a large audience before receiving an award. All they have in their hands are maybe just a microphone and an iPhone. Instead of resorting to a piece of paper with some information that can be blown away by an unexpected gust, maybe, they can use their iPhone or iPad at hand to read a text script that they have prepared beforehand.

We first introduced RollerText as an iPad-only app in December, 2012. RollerText 3 is developed for iPhone and iPad users that lets them use their iOS device as a virtual teleprompter. Initially, it had only one feature that gradually rolled a text script letter by letter. RollerText 3 now has four different text presentation features packed under one app: Text Rolling, Text Highlighting, Text Flashing and Text Switching.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? Tomato Software Introducing LittleCal 4 Mobile for iOS

iOS Swift iPhone iPad LittleCal 4 Mobile

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It was just last week when I released the last iOS app. And I’m ready to release another iOS app today. This new release is called LittleCal 4 Mobile.

LittleCal 4 Mobile is an iOS conversion of an existing desktop application for macOS. It lets you manage your schedules on the weekly basis.

The whole idea of LittleCal is to let the user remind themselves of events ahead of time. As far as the iOS version is concerned, you will get a local notification about an upcoming event ahead of time whether or not the device is locked. If you have an important conference call to attend at 3 PM, wouldn’t you like to be reminded of it ahead of time like 2 PM and, again, at 2:30 PM? That’s the basis of LittleCal.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next? Tomato Software Introducing CrimeSceneCapture for iOS

iOS Swift iPhone iPad CrimeSceneCapture

TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – The summer is here. The daytime temperature is expected to rise to 31 celsius (87.8 F) in the Tokyo area today. I like the summer, but the recent scorching heat is too much for me.

In order to deal with the scorching heat, I’ve developed a new iOS app. This is my first iOS app with Augmented Reality. This new release is called CrimeSceneCapture.

CrimeSceneCapture is an AR (augmented reality) app that lets you photo-document evidence at crime scenes with your iOS device (iPhone & iPad). As a crime scene investigator, it must be important for you to preserve evidence at a crime scene. Sometimes, you may find one piece of evidence or more after forensic photographers have left. What you currently have in your hand may be an iOS device and want to take photos of evidence with numbered markers. That’s the primary use of this app.

CrimeSceneCapture lets you project as many as 999 numbered cubic markers on the camera screen at a time. All it takes is a finger tap on the screen to post a numbered cubic marker with a color of your choice. It just takes another finger tap on an existing marker to remove it from the screen. Numbers are automatically incremented. Or you can set any number between 0 and 999. Furthermore, CrimeSceneCapture comes with four 3D objects (body, knife, pistol, ruler) that assist you in photo-documenting crime scenes. You can move, zoom in and out and rotate these 3D objects.   Continue reading
