Got Home Sick? Get HomeSync – MacHouse Releases HomeSync and HomeSync Lite

Mac backup application HomeSync

TOKYO (MacHouse) – Today, MacHouse has released HomeSync. It’s a backup application that allows users to save application files before they reinstall OS. Have you ever erased a hard disk drive to reinstall OS and then realized that you forgot to back up some files? Personally, I reinstall OS every 3 months or so. One of the applications for which I forget to back up files before OS reinstallation is iPhoto.

Using HomeSync, you can prepare for OS reinstallation by recording what file to back up for which application. What’s amazing about HomeSync is that it will give you advice as to what to back up, depending on the application. What’s more amazing about HomeSync is that it will let you put those saved files and folders back to where they belong after you reinstall OS.   Continue reading

What’s Coming Up Next…

Mac shareware OrganizeX

A new Mac application that we are currently working on is called OrganizeX. It’s in the final phase of development. Thus it should be released in a few days. And you will find out what it does soon. Of course, OrganizeX will not be uploaded to VersionTracker, which we hope will cease to exist because of its poor support for software developers. You will find OrganizeX at MacUpdate and Apple Downloads as usual.

    Mac Software Review: Screenflick 1.6.2

    Mac shareware Araelium Group Screenflick
    Mac software review

We have reviewed several screen-capture software titles for Macs in the past. We have recently got to know a relatively new one from Araelium Group. Visiting their website and reading its description, we were very much interested in Screenflick. They say

Screenflick can now record “captured” displays. Keynote, slideshows, and video games for example will “capture” the screen, which previously would prevent Screenflick from recording. (See Screenshot 01.)
